Mr. York will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the safety department as well as the development, implementation, and operationalization of the Safety, Health, Environmental, and Training programs.
He joins B&S Site Development from W. M. Schlosser where he filled the roles of Safety Engineer and Safety Manager on multiple projects. W. M. Schlosser, in Hyattsville, Maryland, is a recognized leader in quality construction.
Mr. York brings over 15 years of safety management and field experience in OSHA, MSHA, EPA, DOT, and BATF, focusing primarily on regulatory compliance, accident investigation, and safety and training plan development in various industries including construction, mining, and military.
He has worked with industry leaders like Direct Line Communications as a Safety Manager working directly with Facebook during construction of their new data center infrastructures and during upgrades to the existing infrastructure in Ashburn, VA. Mr. York also worked with Southwest Energy LLC, an industry-leading Drilling and Blasting Company located in Tucson, AZ, as a Regional Safety, Health, and Environmental Manager and was instrumental in the company’s move to a behavioral-based safety program.
“We’re proud of our safety record and understand the importance of safety to our clients, employees, partners, and the public,” says Chris Kete, B&S Site Development CEO. “Matt is an outstanding addition to the Brown & Settle team and will guide our safety program as our company grows as a trusted site development partner for the data center and other mission critical industries.”
